Terms of Service

These terms govern use of RouteViz (“the service”) by document destruction operators and their staff and customers.

Accounts

An operator account is created by invitation. The operator is responsible for the people it adds, the customers it enters, and the accuracy of the rates, terms and settings it configures. Portal accounts for an operator’s customers are created and controlled by that operator.

What the service does and does not do

The service records and organizes an operator’s work and produces documents from what its staff record. Certificates of destruction and invoices are issued by the operator, in the operator’s name, on the basis of the operator’s own entries. The service provider does not perform or witness destruction and is not a party to the operator’s contracts with its customers.

QuickBooks Online

Connecting QuickBooks is optional and is done by the operator’s owner. The service acts on the operator’s QuickBooks company only as described in the Privacy Policy and only under the settings the operator chooses. The operator is responsible for reviewing what is synchronized and for its accounting records. Intuit’s own terms apply to the QuickBooks account.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to store material you do not have the right to hold, to attempt access to another operator’s or customer’s data, or to interfere with the service. Accounts that do so may be suspended.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as is. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it, and features may change. Operators should keep their own copies of certificates and invoices, which the service lets them download at any time.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service provider’s liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees the operator paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and excludes indirect or consequential loss.

Termination

An operator may stop using the service at any time and may request deletion of its account. The provider may suspend an account for non-payment or misuse, with notice where practical; data is retained during suspension.
